Utilizing specific business cases from more than 40 years of experience and underlining these within a practical use case at the Barrick Gold Corporation Lumwana mine site in Zambia, we demonstrate that electric drivetrains represent a vital and effective alternative for achieving carbon emission reduction goals with up to 95% emission reduction while remaining economically viable and contributing to TCO reductions up to 50%.
