Vilvoorde June 2020 — The Komatsu group of companies in Europe will support the fight against the spread of Covid-19, in Europe and in other countries, by way of making donations for the total amount of approx. 100,000€ to the following organisations: The People’s Kitchen in the UK, the Italian Red Cross, and Medecins Sans Frontières in other European countries.
Komatsu group places top priority on the safety and health of our customers and suppliers, residents of local communities, and employees and their families. Komatsu works to prevent coronavirus infections from spreading, based on the policies of the governments of host countries where Komatsu conducts business.
Our construction, mining and utility equipment, forest machines and industrial machinery are needed by customers engaging in essential business to support critical social infrastructure. For us to fulfill our responsibilities of continuing the supply and providing the product support, we undertake production, logistics, service and other operations after implementing thorough countermeasures against infections.
We express our sincere condolences to the people who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. We also wish a speedy and full recovery to all those who are currently infected by the virus. We extend our sincere appreciation to those who are making their utmost efforts to prevent infections from spreading.
